  • Dear All,

Greetings from Los Angeles! As I shared at the end of last week’s Good News Email, there is not one for this week. Our next one will be the Monday, January 8, 2012 after the Winter Workshop. That said, the Lord so blessed us at the City of Angels Church’s Christmas Service! There was an electricity in the air even before the first song, but this was only heightened by the announcements of Joel Parlour & Courtney Irwin’s engagement and our movement’s 2012 Prayer Goals – five plantings next summer! Then Matt Sullivan preached an excellent 20 minute “sermunion” and Tim Kernan gave a heartsy appeal for the contribution. Following this, Chris Chloupek’s play, The Miracle In Prison (Acts 16) was outstanding in all respects! Many were moved to tears at the close, as the Jailor (Sal Velasco), his family and the fellow prisoner (Princeton George) of Paul (Chris) and Silas (Danny Drew) were all baptized on stage!

Then the Bordieris – Directors of MERCYworldwide – reported that the Lord blessed us with 900 toys for our Toy Drive! And for the day, God blessed us with one restoration, one place membership and 11 baptisms! We closed out the service arm-in-arm singing Feliz Navidad! What a day and to God be all the glory!

One very moving report did come from Michael Williamson, who just returned from Curacao where he was helping Michael & Maria Hart and as many other remnant disciples as possible move to London. When Michael Williamson returned to London, he shared the following account: The city of London’s attention has been quickly grabbed by the powerful words of Britain’s Prime Minister (David Cameron) who in a speech this week not only quoted an excerpt from President Barack Obama’s book, Audacity of Hope, but also said, “We are a Christian country. And we should not be afraid to say so!” As several disciples were discussing the PM’s statement at our home Saturday night, I received a call from LBC Radio (London’s Biggest Conversation 97.3) asking my thoughts on the PM’s statement. Before long, I was in a heated debate on the existence of God with a professor also invited to speak on the station. After refuting his false doctrines and then expressing our congregation’s support of Mr. Cameron, the radio station informed me that we were live and that I just invited all listening to visit the London International Christian Church! Our new motto is making the gospel “LONDON’S BIGGEST CONVERSATION”!

Two more milestones for which to praise our God: After many prayers and several visits to our lawyers, Raul Moreno informed me on Friday that the Sao Paulo Church received its papers and is now a legal entity in Brazil, and Vic Jr. reported last night that the Santiago Church had two baptisms yesterday giving them 50 for the year!

My prayer for all of you is to draw close to the Lord and your families over the Christmas holidays. So from Elena & me: Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

    Much love,

    Kip

  • Dear All,

Greetings from LA! This was a very special Sunday for Elena & me, as we celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary! We are so grateful to God for not only bringing us together in the Lord, but for His sustaining us in our darkest hours. We are also humbled by the love of all of the disciples through the years that have enriched our marriage and family through discipling.

We continue to be encouraged by the extraordinary efforts of our beloved fellow Christians in the City of Angels Church, as the Spirit reaps His ever-increasing “December Harvest!” This week, our Father blessed us with five baptisms and one restoration! So, in the 345 days of 2011, “the Lord has added daily to our number” 345 additions: 242 baptisms, 48 restorations and 55 place memberships – many of whom have “come over” from the ICOC seeking revival! Also, on this coming Friday, Ron Harding will be releasing the “very updated” and “more detailed history” of God’s new SoldOut Movement on KipMcKean.com. Pray for this document, as it has been the primary way that remnant disciples have learned about the new movement. Also, this narration has been extremely valuable in protecting the hearts of young Christians with the truth, when Satan has attacked them through his lies in persecution of our “brothers throughout the world.” (1 Peter 5:8-9)

And now more refreshing news for your souls from the nations…

Raul Moreno: I bring you good news from Sao Paulo! My good news is that God has a sense of humor and He loves to display it at times. Today Gaby was baptized! She was met by me on my return flight the first time I went to Sao Paulo along with Lynda and the McKeans “to spy out the land” three months before the team arrived. Lynda and Shay studied with her and she is fired-up about Jesus! After service, I was feeling really good about myself, as my family and I were walking back to the subway. My four year old daughter was not feeling so good. On our way home, she shared with me that she had a stomach ache. So as a good father, I decided to carry her. Then she began to vomit (along with other things that are not appropriate to be described) all over my suit, shirt and pants! I was soaked and smelly! You should have seen the faces of those unfortunate Metro travelers that had to be next to me on our way home! Yes, God has a sense of humor! He has a way of humbling us when we think too highly of ourselves. I don’t think I will ever forget this lesson!

Debs Rajan of Chennai: Greetings from India often called, “The land of many gods,” but for us in God’s true church, India is a nation – who like all nations – will someday submit to the one true God! The Chennai disciples decided to end this year with “striking a blow” to Satan and his kingdom. God has been doing amazing things by blessing us with three more souls this week!

Jayashree, who got baptized a few months ago, shared her life with her cousin brother Unnikrishnan and her younger sister Meena. Meena came for Jayashree’s baptism, but was not able to make time for the Bible studies. When Meena’s daughter was admitted in the hospital, the sisters went to visit her and started studying the Bible with her there. Seeing their love and perseverance she made a radical decision to follow Christ. Unnikrishnan also saw the change in Jayashree and decided to make Jesus the Lord of his life. They both got baptized! Deborah, a first year student in History at the famous Stella Maris College for women was also baptized! As the Scripture says, “No one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.” (Mark 10:29-30) Pray for Unnikrishnan, Meena and Deborah who now face many persecutions, but they rejoice that they “bear the marks of Christ!”

Ron Harding of Portland: Greetings from the birthplace of our movement! It’s been so great having our new Campus Intern – Brittany Lukins – tearing up the PSU campus! She’s been working super hard with Dustin & Amanda. With six disciples, they had six visitors her first week and nine visitors this past week. She’s strengthening the sisters and she’s brought a breath of fresh air to our church! We in Portland want to express our gratitude for the incredible sacrifice of the great LA Church in sending the needed support!

We had the best Christmas Show in the three years we have been in Portland. We used the format of a talent show, with Sean Dobbins as the MC, and Ted & Cathy Green as Mr. & Mrs. Claus! Most exciting for me was my friend Donald who came to visit for the second time. Donald and I played soccer from the age of 10, baseball in little league, and ran track together in high school. This past week, he told me that his nephew is a friend of mine on Facebook and is in Brazil on a missionary journey. It turns out that his nephew is Malcom Abbott, who just went to Brazil with Raul & Lynda! Several months back, the Vancouver women did a couple of studies with Malcom’s grandmother in Battleground, Washington. It turns out that Malcom’s grandmother is the mother of Donald’s wife! Both Donald & his wife enjoyed service and were blown away about how God has orchestrated connecting all of us together! Please pray for Him to bring it all to completion! Merry Christmas! Tracy & I can’t wait to see many of you at LA’s Winter Workshop!

Maria Hart: Greetings from sunny Curacao! This week, the Lord has spoken through His “modern day prophet” Michael Williamson of London! It has been a privilege and honor to have him down here for the last six days preaching the Word to our hearts. We announced to the church my husband’s and my plan to move to London just prior to Michael’s coming. The disciples were in shock and disoriented, but through God’s wisdom, Michael was able to spell out God’s plan “to gather His remnant at the farthest horizon and bring them to a place that He has chosen as a dwelling for His name!” (Nehemiah 1:9) So, the plan is for “as many as possible” to come join the awesome London Church by next year! We had an incredible Sunday service with 49 in attendance – 18 visitors and 17 disciples and 16 kids! Pray for our church to grasp God’s heart and vision to evangelize this lost world in one generation! To Him alone be all the glory!

Anu Arneson of Stockholm: “To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” (John 8:31-32) Greetings of love from Stockholm! A wonderful Swedish woman, Anna Karlsson, was baptized yesterday afternoon as our sister in Christ! Anna works with our brother Erik as his nurse in the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm. She grew up in a religious family as a daughter to a Pentecostal pastor. She believed in God and the Bible, but because of the contradictions she saw in her parents’ life and teachings, she became very confused. When she started to study the Bible with the sisters and started putting Jesus’ teachings into practice, she became more and more convicted that the only way to be saved is to become a baptized sold-out disciple of Christ! It’s so encouraging to see such a passionate woman come to God. Welcome into God’s Kingdom, dear sister!

Blaise Feumba in London, serving as the overseeing evangelist of French-speaking Africa: God has blessed our sister church in Abidjan with a great baptism after the service today, as our sister ANNICK POKOU was baptized into Christ as a sold-out disciple! God is rewarding my diligent wife Patricia as she did all First Principles Bible Studies with this young lady prior to the civil war! Patricia kept praying and reaching out to Annick and to her mother, who is a disciple, even from London! Annick is a five talent attorney student with great leadership potential to help win French Africa to Christ. I have been studying with the dad and with her brother. Please be praying for the whole family to be won to Christ very soon. The churches in Abidjan and Hire had an attendance respectively of 122 and 30! To God be the glory!

Jeremiah Clark: Greetings from the Mighty Eugene Church! Today, we had an amazing Christmas Service. As family, we sang Christmas songs, praised God, and “ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” God blessed us with our best attendance in a while with 100, and we were able to witness Kierstyn, a campus student, be restored to the faith! We love and miss you all and can’t wait to see you in a few weeks!

Bill Hamilton of Charlotte: Greetings from the Queen City of the South! God’s Spirit is moving powerfully in His church here in Charlotte! Today worship was electric! The church has been refreshed by Jeremiah 29:14, “’I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,’ declares the Lord, ‘and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.’” This was evident today as several people from our old fellowship have been coming out weekly to church and three of them have begun the studies to be restored back to God. Please keep us in your prayers, as we have several campus students “counting the cost” of becoming disciples as well. Lastly, we have a new dating couple in the church Christopher & Patricia, who are doing an awesome job as our Campus Leaders!

Anthony Eckels: Orlando was encouraged as Keith Crawford from Arkansas placed membership yesterday, as he had been a member in our former fellowship! He visited Orlando just a month ago, and after much long distance discipling from the brothers, he moved here on Friday! Also, the campus women are fired-up, as Elizabeth has started a discipleship group on campus. Their studies have already doubled! We have gotten an influx of calls from old friends in ICOC in the last week, so please pray that we can restore them to God!

Luke Speckman: It was another great week in Phoenix! On Tuesday, Byford & Millie Damon became new parents as their daughter Isabella was born! Isabella was the fifth baby born in our congregation in 2011! On Wednesday, a campus brother named Marvell was baptized! We had a very inspiring service today with nearly 200 in attendance. Marvell and Marcel Turner performed a rap at church, and it was awesome! We also announced the new dating relationship of Johnny Calderon & Amanda Castillo! I preached from Hebrews 11 on faith today as we are bringing our Hebrews Series to a close. We are looking forward to the Winter Workshop in LA and seeing so many of you!

Carlos Vargas of Madrid: We have an awesome God! He’s the Lord of all and His name be praised always! Week after week, God has blessed us with some friends visiting us in the Sunday Services! This last Sunday, we had an inspiring sermon based on Kip’s lesson, The Promised Land On The Second Try! Our friends who were visiting us were really moved in their hearts. Thanks be to God how He moves through His Word! From this week, we will have the midweek service separated by men and women to cover in a better way the needs and be focused on saving this lost world. We continue praying for the committed disciples in our former congregation, who follow “God’s Kingdom news” through the City of Angels ICC Report. We pray for them, so God can help them to make the right and challenging decisions to follow Him. Thanks to Raul & Lynda for their advice and discipleship! Christmas is coming and we are preparing to have a special Christmas night for praising and worshiping His name. And to our Father and God be the glory through our Lord and Savior Jesus!

Vic Gonzalez Jr. of Santiago: Greetings from way down here in the Southern Hemisphere! Today was an amazing day as two were restored to the Lord! The first brother restored was Miguel, who was advised to go to a detox center because of his addictions. He was there for two months and now is a “refreshed” man. “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19) The second restoration was Alfonso, Alfredo’s uncle! I was personally moved when he thanked God for using me “to turn the lights on!” He shared that I had helped him to realize where he was at spiritually! It was truly amazing to watch his incredible humility and conviction to NEVER leave again! The Holy Spirit was moving, as people were weeping as I preached about Satan’s Plan for our lives and forgiveness! ¡Ponte Las Pilas!

Tamru Belihu of Addis Ababa: Greetings from Ethiopia! What an incredible day was yesterday! We had a pleasing day to God and ourselves. We had one baptism and one restoration! It was really bad day for devil. Our registration for our congregation from the government is also going good. All glory be to God!

Andrew Smellie of New York City: A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great.” (Proverbs 18:16) Today the 89 disciples of the New York City Church, through the auspices of MERCYworldwide, donated over 200 gifts in its annual MERCY Toy Drive! The Dr. Rose B. English School located in the heart of Brooklyn (Brownsville) was the recipient of these much-appreciated presents for the children of their pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes! The parent coordinator for the school, Ms. Sherry Young, was on hand to receive the gifts on behalf of the school and was blown away by the generosity of the church! The city of Brownsville was the site of a shooting on November 21st this year, in which a mother of thirteen lost her life while using her body to shield her children from the bullets of a gang member’s gun. This was not an incident in the wee hours of the morning. It occurred in the early afternoon when elementary school children are being picked up from school. This sort of violence is a sad but very real and constant reality to schools in this part of Brooklyn.

Today was also filled with tears as we had another bittersweet Good-bye Party for our dear brother and sister George Grima and Maiya Eubanks, who were commended by the church as they have been called to serve in other areas of God’s Kingdom! George will be returning to Los Angeles for training, as he prepares to serve on the Paris Mission Team, and Maiya is returning to serve in the Campus Ministry of the Portland Church! Please pray for these incredible missionaries to continue to be used powerfully by God as they have both been a great help to many of the disciples through the New York Church! And to God be all the glory!

Carlos Mejia of Washington DC: Greetings from our nation’s capitol! Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.” (1 Peter 5:2-4) We had an amazing weekend, as we had our second annual “Shepherding Couples Retreat.” Lucy & I are so grateful for how God has raised-up some amazing, mature, loving and giving couples to help shepherd God’s church. Much gratitude goes out to Jack & Jeanne McGee, Eric & Jackie Chapman and Noel & Janice Garcia.

Today, we had our MERCYworldwide Toy Drive and Christmas Service where the faithful 80 disciples in DC collected 450 gifts including toys and much needed school supplies! These gifts will be donated to two very needy schools in the DC Metro Area. Also, we were greatly encouraged to present the baptism of Marlon. Marlon is a freshman at Howard University! Jared McGee, OJ Nduka and Joshua Ajayi met him at the metro stop and invited him to Bible Talk. In his own words, “I went to Bible Talk and fell in love!” After service, Marlon was baptized in the chilly waters of Rock Creek Park – a vein of the Potomac River. It was 34 F today in DC!

Another highlight was the restoration of Andre Goldson. Our brother Noel Garcia originally reached-out and baptized Andre 15 years ago while they were students at Howard University. Noel has been reaching out to Andre for the past two years, and today after much prayer and wrestling, Andre made the decision to surrender his life once again to Jesus and become a sold-out disciple in God’s new movement! Finally, we are proud to announce our eighth dating couple in the DC Church: Steve Stancil & Sarah Carnes! We love you all and look forward to seeing many of you at the Winter Workshop in LA!

What an incredible year that 2011 has been! The Spirit planting the SoldOut Church in Sao Paulo, God gathering His remnant especially the Feumbas and our new sister church in Madrid, and so many, many baptisms and restorations around the world! So with the holidays upon us, this will be the last Good News Email of the year. So from Elena and me, let me wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, and in 2012, let’s have an even more incredible New Year! And to our God and Father through Jesus Christ be all the glory, honor and praise!

    Your partner in the gospel,

    Kip

  • Dear All,

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ” and greetings from the City of Angels Church! (2 Corinthians 1:2) Amazing for a December “non-push” service was our record attendance of 769! Also, four more were added to the Kingdom throughout this past week through the waters of baptism in LA! Therefore in the 338 days of 2011, the Lord has added to our number 339 souls – 237 baptisms, 47 restorations and 55 place memberships! And to our God be the glory!

And now more good news from around the world…

Vic Gonzalez Jr. of Santiago: Greetings from way down here in the Southern Hemisphere! God has given us two more souls that decided to make Jesus Lord of their lives! The first was an incredible campus student named Karla. She was met by our Campus Ministry. I am so proud of my campus brothers and sisters, as they share their faith together every day for two to three hours. It is through these efforts that Karla was met! The other baptism was a man named Eugenio! Please pray for his wife as she is eagerly studying the Bible.

Also faith-building is the incredible story of Alfredo, who is a civil engineer converted in the Campus Ministry, which he then led in Raul Moreno’s day here in Santiago! A month ago, he was offered a better job, but due to the "demands" required of this new job, he refused it. Alfredo told the man who wanted to hire him, "My job is not my life. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, and I am also a family man. Though I very much appreciate the offer of this new job, I must decline it as this job will not allow me to do what I need to do. But thank you very much." The man was so impacted, he called Alfredo this week and offered him another position where he would be the boss of the position for which he was interviewed weeks back! And in a city where the minimum salary is $4,800 US dollars a year, our dear brother is now making over six figures! Let's keep going after the campus ministry, because they are the future of the movement! ¡Ponte Las Pilas!

Debs Rajan of Chennai: Greetings from India! God is doing amazing things as three entered the waters of baptism: Johnny, Leno and Dency – an engineering student. Dency came to a beauty parlour owned by our sister Gaytri. Gaytri invited her to church, but her college is two hours away from here. After her exams, Dency decided to visit the church. After seeing the fellowship and the love, she decided to study the Bible. There were many challenges for Dency as staying “on campus” means that she is not allowed to go out except once a month. As the Word says, “At once they left their nets and followed Him.” (Mark 1:18) She left her hostel and moved into the sister’s flat! Traveling two hours up and two hours down to college with a tight financial budget are some of the challenges she has taken on to be a sold-out disciple of Jesus! Pray for Dency and all of the other new disciples in Chennai!

Steve Ranga: Greetings from the Syracuse Church – “the little church that could!” We want to start by humbly announcing the awesome news of not only meeting our special mission goal of $7,812, but blowing it out for God! We collected a total of $15,105 to the glory of God. Please continue praying for our April Missions Contribution, as the entire church is already gearing up to meet our goal of $40,000! We are extremely proud of the Syracuse disciples for their sacrificial giving and the hard work that comes with doubling any goal! Also, a special thank you to the leadership of the mighty NYC Church for hosting a heartfelt Leadership Retreat this past weekend. We “stand in awe of God” who keeps on blessing us with friends who have the same focus and passion as us. We truly are grateful for His plans for our lives.

Mandee Rohn: Greetings  from London! I am so, so grateful to God for the incredibly inspirational service we had today! My husband Coltin preached a powerful sermon entitled, Here Comes The Bride! He preached about viewing the church the same way Jesus does, as a marriage/wife. (Ephesians 5:22-33) He boldly challenged the congregation on “spiritual adultery” (lusting after other gods, other churches), as well as sacrificing everything to get the bride a ring (special missions) and being totally excited to be with the bride (commitment to “the meetings of the body” during the holidays). I believe today’s sermon was the best one I have ever heard him preach! I believe it’s a message God wanted many people to hear as He blessed us with our second largest service ever… 96!

At the end of the service, we very warmly welcomed two more into the London Family. Our brother Dale was restored, and Sally was baptized into the Campus Ministry through the efforts of the sisters particularly Kia Pope, who did an excellent job leading most of her studies. Sally is a third year medical student at the prestigious Kings College, who was reached out to by our brother Dapo. Sally at first glance looks as though she is English, however, Sally represents two nations as she is half Armenian and half Iraqi! What an amazing addition of “all nations” to God’s Kingdom! Her mother Vian and sister Sarah joined us for service today, and we are so encouraged that her sister is also studying the Bible. After seeing her sister’s baptism, Sarah told many in the fellowship, “I’m next!” Please continue to pray for us as we work to “spread rapidly” God’s great fire in London! (2 Thessalonians 3:1)

Carlos Vargas of Madrid: You are my King, O God! Command victories for Jacob!” (Psalm 44:4) Hi brothers and sisters in the Lord! We are very grateful for having such a powerful God, as last Sunday was an incredible and challenging Sunday! Please pray for our studies, because we have the vision that two of them will become sold-out disciples this month of December, so we can finish this year with 12 disciples! But on the other hand, it was challenging, because one of the brothers had his car stolen and burnt. So please pray for him that God gives him the strength and faith to bear this situation and that God can bring out good things from these very difficult circumstances.

Last Saturday, we celebrated the birthday of our lovely sister Marlene. We feel very blessed of having her as a sister in the Lord, as she's an amazing sister and an "evangelistic machine." So encouraging was that last week she moved from Badajoz to Madrid (six hours in distance) to stay closer and support the church! Thanks for your inspiring work around the world! God is preparing an awesome Christmas time and 2012 year, and to Him be the glory!

Kyle Bartholomew: Greetings from Honolulu! God added another soul to our UH Campus Ministry! Late Monday night, Jordan was baptized into Christ! Please pray for us to finish the year strong as many more are close to being baptized. Aloha!

Anthony Eckels: Orlando had another great weekend! We had our First Annual Marriage Retreat, one of the best marriage retreats I have been to in years! The non-Christian marrieds outnumbered the disciples! It was truly encouraging to all! The lessons taught were entitled: Endless Love, Endless Submission, and Endless Humility. Please pray that much fruit will come out of this amazing retreat.

Mike Underhill of Chicago: Greetings from the Windy City, where the Holy Spirit continues to “blow” people to a certain place to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives! (John 3:8) Dori, a radiation therapy student at Roosevelt University, was met by one of our two students who attend this private college. In becoming sold-out for God, she decided to break-up with her boyfriend of almost two years. Her baptism is the first in our newly formed Roosevelt/Loyola Women's Bible Talk! We have many people close to baptism, so the church is very excited to see what God is going to do this week!

Andrew & Patrique Smellie of New York City: “Whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave – just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:26-28) Almost 20 faithful leaders from the churches in New York City and Syracuse met this weekend in the beautiful hills of the Poconos (in the state of Pennsylvania), as we hosted our first New York State Staff Retreat entitled, Called To Lead! The retreat was a call to not just be managers, but servants of our ministries as we inspire other disciples to follow our example as we follow Jesus! (1 Corinthians 11:1) Also, it was a call to greatness as we imitate the heart of Jesus to sacrifice our lives for His Kingdom!

After heading out for our afternoon church service, we were blessed to hear the Word preached from our very own George Grima! George has been a pillar to the church in New York City since the church was planted in 2008, and he has been a "father in the faith" to many disciples in the church. The Lord has called him to a new adventure with a brand new girlfriend (Angelica!), as he will be moving to LA at the end of this month to train as he prepares to serve in the leadership of the new Paris Church Planting in August! His heartfelt admonition to purify ourselves so we can be united with the Lord, and “the call” to have a continued reliance on God through prayer in the Spirit reminded us of the treasure we have in him. Please pray for us to close out the month of December with several baptisms as we bring God the glory He deserves through the holiday season.

Brandyn Speckman of Phoenix: "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9) We've had an incredible week here in the Valley of the Sun! This past Wednesday was our first Women's Midweek Service since First Principles began in October. I am so excited to witness the women here in Phoenix really going after advancing God's Kingdom. In the past seven weeks, 10 women have been added to God's Church in Phoenix – 6 baptisms, 3 restorations and 1 place membership! I'm absolutely humbled to watch God work so powerfully through the women as they bear fruit.

Today, we welcomed back from LA the Willson family, as they placed membership with us. Lastly, we have a new dating couple in our fellowship: Onigwe Echikunwoke (originally from the City of Angels Church’s AMS Region) and Shenice Wright (medical student and single mom)! Please keep us in your prayers as we will continue to pray for God's movement around the world to have “hearts [that] are fully committed to Him.”

Nick & Denise Bordieri – Directors of MERCYworldwide: We received a pleasant surprise from Geysi Pitts in the Central Region of LA. Her company ran a charity event throughout the year called, Jeans For Charity where employees were allowed to wear jeans to work once a month, along with a $5 donation! At the end of the year, all the money was tallied-up and two charities were selected from the candidates submitted by the employees. She submitted MERCYworldwide's Christmas Toy Drive and it was selected! A check was submitted to MERCYworldwide for $935 to be allocated for this year's Toy Drive! Geysi is very excited that kids will benefit from her colleagues' generous donations, and we are very grateful to her and her company for supporting MERCYworldwide's Fourth Annual Toy Drive! In LA, the Toy Drive will be held in conjunction with our Christmas Service on December 18, 2011!

As many have noted, Christmas is coming soon! Let’s all inspire our congregations to get fully behind our global MERCYworldwide Christmas Toy Drive! What a unique and wonderful blessing of being in a unified movement of disciples of Jesus, so that at one time on one day we can motivate all of our disciples around the world to be “MERCY Ambassadors!” Remember, the less fortunate families in our local congregations should be taken care of with gifts for their children first, then let’s give our gifts to the lost to fulfill Jesus’ dream for us to be “the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14) Thank you Nick & Denise for all of your efforts to glorify the Lord! “Grace be with you all.” (Titus 3:15)

    Much love,

    Kip
